About the role

Profix Glazing specialises in commercial aluminium windows and doors and we're seeking a talented and experienced Estimator to join our growing team in Yatala, Queensland. As an Estimator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our construction projects by providing accurate and competitive estimates. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative company

What you'll be doing

• Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation to prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for glazing work
• Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure estimates align with client needs
• Analysing material costs, labour requirements, and other project expenses to generate competitive and profitable estimates
• Preparing detailed cost breakdowns and submitting estimates within agreed timelines
• Continually researching industry trends, new products, and technologies to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of glazing and fenestration systems, including materials, installation, and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in using estimating software, such as Logikal for the creation of quotations and orders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise estimates
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Proven track record of delivering accurate and competitive estimates within tight deadlines
• Familiarity with construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices
• Applicants must hold Australian residency.
