About Us:

Hezzelic Homes are a leading custom home building company in Brisbane, known for delivering high-quality, innovative and tailored homes for our clients. Our team is dedicated to excellence and we’re looking for a dedicated Estimator to join us as we grow and continue creating beautiful, bespoke homes for our clients.

About You:

• Minimum 5 years experience as an Estimator in the custom home building industry.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, pricing, labour costs and industry standards.
  Self-starter who can hit the ground running preparing estimates and tender submission.
• Proficiency with estimating software - Buildertrend, CostX, BuildXact, Co Construct, Databuild or similar.
  Open to adopting a superior program.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Relevant qualifications in construction or building would be highly advantageous.
  
  Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for custom home building projects including material, labour and subcontractor costs.
• Work closely with the Director and clients to understand project requirements and deliver comprehensive quotations.
• Assess materials, labor and equipment costs, ensuring optimal cost efficiency.
• Analyze and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications.
• Manage and track project costs to stay within budget.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing for materials and services.
• Review and revise estimates based on client needs and project changes.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects.
• Manage the subcontractor & supply selection process.
• Preparation, estimating and client sign off for variation of contracts throughout various stages of the project - including post-contract, drafting, planning and construction
• Maintain thorough knowledge of current Building Codes and Regulations.
• Collaborate with the construction management team and other stakeholders to refine estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain a comprehensive cost database and continuously update pricing information.
