Medical Receptionist for Specialist Practice

We are a dynamic specialist medical practice with locations at North Shore Private and Kareena Private Hospital, seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist with at least 3 years of experience in a surgical clinic or specialty.

Job Type: Part-time (2 days per week, Monday and Friday)
Salary: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour + Superannuation
Experience: Minimum 3 years in medical administration (required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting patients in person and on the phone in a friendly and professional manner
• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
• Editing and formatting letters and reports
• Managing patient payments, invoicing, and inpatient hospital billings
• Organizing patient clinics and theatre bookings
• Handling incoming and outgoing mail
• Processing and verifying Medicare/Health Fund details

The Successful Applicant Will Have:

• Previous experience as a medical receptionist in a surgical practice
• Ability to work collaboratively and share responsibilities with the team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A courteous, positive, and professional attitude
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
• Experience preparing and running patient clinics
