Farm Foods is a Geelong based food manufacturing business, specialising in valued added meat products. (eg Sausages, Hamburgers, Meat balls & Kebabs etc) From humble origins back in 2003 the business commenced as a butcher shop in the small country town of Birregurra. Now some 20 years later the business has grown to become one of Australia’s leading meat manufacturers of private label products to Australia's major supermarkets.

Please note Farm Foods does not bone or kill anything on site, it is a value add processor of raw materials. We are currently a 24 hour, 5 days a week operation with occasional Saturday work through peak periods.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to support and mentor our team *Note: flexibility may be required to cover alternate shifts.

About the Role:

The purpose of the QA Co-ordinator is to provide support to the QA Manager and ensure that operational activities are compliant with the applicable Food Safety and Quality Standards as well as Customer and Legislative Requirements.

The role will be integral in the governance to our internal Quality Management System and works closely with the Quality team to ensure all Quality activities are adhered to and carried out in accordance with our QMS protocols.

Successful applicant will ideally have:

• Demonstrated experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor in a QA team
• Tertiary education in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry etc OR a combination of education and manufacturing/quality experience
• Demonstrated experience in food safety risk identification and management
• Understanding of HACCP and prerequisite controls
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems
• Demonstrated Knowledge of GMP, GLP & Food allergens
• Experience with SQF (GSFI), WOW, COLES, CODEX, ORGANIC (NASSA) Desired
• Experience with Netsuite will be highly regarded
• Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and process driven
• Excellent references for work performance in a previous role
• Strong management skills
