Your Role:

As our QA Officer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving quality policies, procedures, and records while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Key duties include:

Maintaining food safety and quality standards (SQF HACCP, SMETA, WALMART Supply Chain Security).

Implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with company and regulatory standards.

Conducting quality assurance activities, including internal audits, inspections, and testing to uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Managing pre-requisite programs (Approved Supplier, Pest Control, Calibrations).

Overseeing validation and verification activities to ensure product quality.

Reviewing non-conformances, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

Keeping up to date with food safety legislation and assisting with compliance to customer and regulatory requirements.

Collaborating with production teams to improve processes and address quality issues.

Performing internal and external product testing to ensure the highest standards.

Writing and updating SOPs in collaboration with the Production Manager.

Training staff in food safety procedures and fostering a strong food safety culture.

Managing external audits related to HACCP, SQF, SMETA, and any future quality standards required.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in quality assurance within the food & beverage or manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and Australian food safety regulations.

Experience with BRCGS and ISO standards (preferred).

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams.

A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field (preferred).
