About the Role:
In operation since 1988, our client is proud to be a quality Australian owned business, who has grown substantially over the years and now have operations in NSW, VIC and the ACT. They are passionate about the quality of their work and with on-site manufacturing facilities, they can proudly deliver outstanding bespoke furniture projects throughout these regions.
This pivotal role in the business, requires an experienced "hands-on" Production Leader, who will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process from raw materials through to finished products. It is envisaged that you will demonstrate a strong focus and commitment to business improvements and efficiencies and be someone that engages with the plant, enjoys being present and leads by example. We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic individual, who has proven experience in a leadership role within the Joinery/Cabinet Making industry.

Duties:
- Oversee and manage daily production excellency across the factory, overseeing production timelines, workflows and equipment
- Lead and manage a team of 6 Tradespeople towards optimal productivity, addressing any staffing issues as they arise
- Liaise with supply chain teams to ensure materials, labour and equipment are available to meet production deadlines
- Implement and monitor Quality Control procedures to ensure products meet client expectations
- Mentor and train co-workers on production techniques, machinery use and safety, creating a positive team culture
- Manage production costs and identify areas for cost reduction
- Identify opportunities for increasing efficiency and reducing production costs
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times
- Liaise with clients, regarding production and order status, back orders, delays or disruptions
- Management reporting on production outcomes, including KPI's on output volume, quality levels, and efficiency
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience in joinery/cabinet making/furniture manufacturing operations
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving operational excellence
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Experience with inventory management and quality control
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound understanding of OH&S processes
- High level MS Office skills
