We are a busy private psychology practice based in Adelaide CBD. We are passionate about providing high quality mental health services to our clientele. We are a modern psychology practice with a focus on the best outcomes in mental health. We have highly efficient systems which allow the reception staff to provide a first class service to both our clients and clinicians alike.

The Role:

Reporting to the Practice Manager, this role is responsible for providing high level administrative support which is an integral part of the Adelaide Psychology & Co service. You will support all clients and psychologists of Adelaide Psychology & Co. This involves building relationships, delivering exceptional client care, and working within a team environment.

This current opportunity is offered in our Adelaide CBD practice. We have a part-time role available with approximately two permanent days per week available, with capacity to increase hours where needed. We are looking for a passionate, friendly and confident receptionist to join the practice’s administration team. This individual will not only embrace the practice’s culture of collaboration, genuineness & getting the best client outcomes, but also provide efficient and timely support to the practice as a whole.

This role will suit a highly motivated individual that has excellent communication skills, keen initiative and exceptional organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask with a high attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Multitasking and problem-solving skills are essential as well as being friendly and having a positive attitude.

Your Key Duties:

  • Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all clients and psychologists
  • Attend to client referrals, enquiries, and bookings
  • Ensure that any requests by clients and psychologists are followed up with due diligence
  • Update and maintain the booking system so it is up-to-date and accurate at all times
  • Process payments, such as Medicare benefits, NDIS and private patients
  • General administration duties such as fax, email and scanning of documents
  • Following up on outstanding client payments
  • General housekeeping duties such as ensuring the therapy rooms are properly cleaned and ready for the day
  • Start and end of day procedures

About You:

  • Experience within the health industry or a medical practice (desired but not essential)
  • Excellent phone manner and the ability to quickly develop relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Intermediate level of skills in Microsoft Office
  • Honest & high integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Great conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • The ability to work productively both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Experience with Coreplus or other practice management software (desired)
