The Role:
Due to our team growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our Paediatric Team. This is an ongoing role, involving job sharing with the current Team Leader, with the successful candidate working onsite 4-5 days per week (minimum 30 hours per week).
The Team Leader works as part of the leadership team to drive a positive team environment and Icarian culture, helping ensure Icaria is an inclusive and great place to work. The Team Leader will ensure that all Icarians within their team have the clinical and non-clinical support required to achieve their responsibilities and optimise therapy outcomes. The Paediatric Team Leader also takes a lead role in ensuring service delivery is family centred, evidence based and reflective of best practice standards and services are continually improved and adapted to meet the needs of children, their families, and the wider community.

Icaria Health is locally owned and operated, with our team providing allied health services to the Border region. We have an Adult Therapy Team and a Paediatric Therapy Team based in Albury-Wodonga. The Icaria Health Paediatric team are responsible for delivering high quality Allied Health therapy for children 0-16 years in their natural environments. This is provided through a unique Key Contact Model of service provision to ensure strong collaboration between therapists, the child and all those who play a role in their life. Role Objectives
- Ensure that all members of the Icarian Paediatric Team are having a great experience.
- Ensure that all participants, and their significant others are having a great experience.
- Live Icaria’s mission and values and collaborate kindly and efficiently with Icarians, including with therapists, the administration team and the management team.
- Contribute to Icaria Health’s organisational growth, reputation and business development.
- Contribute to retaining and attracting culturally aligned allied health professionals.
- Enhance leadership skills and clinical knowledge to enable optimal support of the team.
Core Responsibilities
- Communication: distribution of operational strategies and/or resources occurs fortnightly to support growth, service delivery and to highlight important organisational information.
- Leadership: ensure team meetings are inclusive, supportive and engaging, with input from as many Icarians as possible.
- Leadership: ensure 1-1 meetings are supportive and engaging, and focused on professional, career and personal goals.
- Documentation: actions are commenced for all audits, incidents and feedback within two working days and closed within one month.
- Growth: promote a growth culture, by overseeing the team’s professional development programs, ensuring continuous improvement projects occur, and driving staff retention.
- Accountability: ensure that new staff have an exceptional first month, including the orientation checklist being completed within the allocated timeframe.
- Resources: ensures that team resources are maintained and when new resources are requested, communicates and actions with team appropriately.

Essential Selection Criteria:
- Minimum 7 years of clinical experience.
- Proven ability to drive a positive team environment and team culture.
- Proven ability to support, mentor, direct and manage individual and team performance.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands.
- Willingness to contribute to the ongoing growth and development of Icaria Health services.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
- Experience in Leadership and/or Management
- Post-Graduate Qualifications in Leadership and/or Management
- Experience in NDIS and/or Community Care
