The Role
As our General Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Reporting to the Managing Director, your role is pivotal in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across key accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
• Expense tracking and control of company expenditure
• General ledger maintenance and journal entries
• Preparation of monthly financial reports
• Assistance with budget preparation and variance analysis
• Support in the preparation of BAS, payroll, and other statutory requirements
• Liaison with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
• Proven experience in a similar accounting role (2+ years preferred)
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to improve processes
