About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Civil Construction Leading Hand to join our team at GP Bluestone in Melbourne, VIC. This full-time role will see you working on a variety of construction projects, applying your expertise to deliver high-quality results for our clients.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and running sites including management of crews, labour and machine operators
• Liase with Project Managers and Engineers
• Leading and directing all onsite labour (hands on) finishing concrete surfaces, installation of reinforcement, forms etc operating concrete pumps, mixers and other equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborating with the construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standard
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Enforcing all health and safety procedures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Foreman, ideally gained in the Civil Construction Industry
• Experience in Road Reconstruction, Laser Level, Drainage and Asphalt Works
• Hands on Concreting experience including footpaths, kerb, channel and driveways
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans
• Proficient in the use of concrete equipment and tools
• Excellent physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding physical work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills
• Relevant trade certifications or qualifications
