We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hire Yard Leading Hand to join our team. Based at our Mackay branch and working with our skilled hire yard team, you will assist with leading and guiding the team in the operations, logistics and maintenance of all rental fleet buildings.

What You Will Do
As a Hire Yard Leading Hand you will work as part of a fast paced, collaborative team to ensure our rental facility is operating to the highest standard.

More specifically, you will contribute to, and be responsible for:

• Ensure outgoing buildings are clean, quality-checked, and ready for transport.
• Inspect and clean incoming buildings, completing necessary maintenance.
• Keep the hire fleet in a state of readiness for quick dispatch.
• Conduct Health & Safety QA and toolbox meetings.
• Perform regular quality inspections.
• Complete necessary administration (attendance, inductions, receipts, safety, quality).
• Ensure subcontractors and employees follow safety procedures and training.
• Organize and carry out corrective actions for the hire fleet.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels in the hire yard and conduct monthly stocktakes.

What You Will Bring

We are looking for someone who shares our values and belief that agility, integrity, caring, collaboration and safety underpins all the work we do.

To hit the ground running, you will bring:

• Prior experience in a similar role.
• High Risk Work Licence – Forklift, and demonstrated experience using forklifts.
• Trade background (highly regarded)
