Steelbro is currently seeking a qualified and experienced hands on Workshop Manager to manage, build and lead a small NSW team at the STEELBRO Service Centre. This role is located at Bankstown NSW.
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong leader, have an eye of detail, a strong safety focus and enjoy getting the most out of your team and a strong sales and mechanical background.
Priorities and tasks include:
- Management and leadership of our NSW service and repairs workshop,
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to ensure local operators know where we are and, what we do,
- Execute customer contact to ensure local operators know where we are and what we do,
- Develop, train and support workshop team to meet operational and customer needs,
- Scheduling of jobs and may assist with parts sourcing,
- Promote the sales of new equipment and the service to existing equipment to new and established customers,
- Overseeing the servicing and maintaining or our local and interstate customers on sideloader repairs and service,
- Oversee the breakdown repairs on sold equipment off site (if required) to minimise customer fleet interruptions,
- Oversee the identification of defects in a timely manner and taking necessary action to control and repair
- Ensuring service and mechanical repairs are documented/recorded in internal systems and comply with statutory inspections and company requirements/standards,
- Able to identify and repair Mechanical faults in heavy equipment (sideloaders)
You will also possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Recognized trade qualifications (Mechanical or similar)
- Previous experience in transport solutions workshop operations (2 years minimum preferable) and sales of equipment
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical equipment and terminology
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- Experience and understanding of various computer systems
- Strong sales and customer liaison
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical
