About the role

We are a local Plant, Labour hire and mixed logistics company seeking a talented and experienced Workshop foreman/Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Dubbo, NSW.

This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, as well as identifying and driving new business opportunities for the company.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and supervise the workshop team, ensuring the timely and efficient completion of all maintenance and repair work
• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and develop customised solutions
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including tendering for contracts and developing relationships with potential clients
• Ensure the workshop operates in compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations
• Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business by providing insights and recommendations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Workshop Foreman or a similar role in the automotive/plant hire industry
• Strong technical knowledge of plant and equipment maintenance and repair
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
• Relevant qualifications in automotive, heavy diesel or plant maintenance and experience required
