About The Role

This is a dynamic role within the Stainless Steel Industry, where you will play a crucial part in ensuring customers' needs are met while actively seeking new business opportunities. As a Customer Liaison & Sales Officer, you will manage relationships with existing clients, process customer orders, and identify potential leads for new customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Proactively scout for new customers and business opportunities
• Answer customer phone enquiries promptly and professionally
• Take orders and customer enquiries via phone, email, and over the counter (counter sales)
• Ensure all orders and invoicing are processed efficiently
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure stock availability
• Assist with picking and packing orders when required
• Organise freight and courier services for deliveries
• Manage emails and address customer enquiries in a timely manner

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be able to answer YES to the below criteria:

• Previous experience in a customer service role is essential
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Strong multitasking abilities and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in handling customer orders and enquiries
• Previous experience in the Stainless Steel industry is highly preferred but people from an Industrial/Building products background will also be highly regarded.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Forklift licence is preferred
• Must be fit and capable of lifting heavy items as some physical tasks are required
