We are looking for a Business Services Assistant Manager to join our team on a full-time basis, with the option to work in our Toowoomba or Maroochydore office.

Main responsibilities:

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of business solutions and taxation services to a range of clients. You will work closely with a dedicated team to:

• Manage client relationships and be a primary point of contact for your teams’ clients.
• Assist clients with questions and help resolve any issues with their accounting software
• Mentor junior team members and assist them in growing their skills and ability
• Manage team resources and work allocation to meet revenue targets, overseeing timely completion of client work and invoicing.
• Provide ongoing contribution to Synergy's culture of continual improvement and refinement of processes and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least five years’ accounting experience in a public practice role;
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field;
• CA or CPA post-graduate qualification (or be in the process of completing);
• Tax agent registration (or eligibility to apply for tax agent registration);
• Comprehensive knowledge of Australian taxation legislation;
• Experience with Xero, XPM, FYI Docs, Microsoft, MYOB and Class;
• The ability to work under deadline pressure and effectively prioritise multiple jobs; and
• A genuine interest in taking ownership of the role.
