About the role

Are you an experienced Credit Analyst ready to take the next step in your career? This is a unique opportunity to join the team at Aussie Home Loans South Morang as a Mortgage Broking Credit Analyst. In this full-time role or part time, you will be responsible for assisting our brokers in obtaining finance for our clients, as well as providing in-depth credit analysis and risk assessments on various mortgage applications.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct thorough credit and risk assessments on mortgage applications, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
• Liaise with brokers, clients and lenders to gather necessary information and documentation to support the credit evaluation process
• Prepare detailed credit submissions and recommendations for loan approvals
• Stay up-to-date with changes in mortgage lending policies and regulations
• Provide guidance and support to the broking team on complex credit matters
• Contribute to the continued development and improvement of the credit analysis processes

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (5+ years) as a Credit Analyst or Associate within the mortgage/finance industry
• Strong understanding of credit assessment methodologies, mortgage lending policies and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
• Proficient in using various mortgage and credit assessment software and tools
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with brokers, clients and lenders
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
