About Us
Our client is a local business located in Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs and is a leader in the supply, installation and maintenance of commercial refrigeration, air-conditioning and freezers.
Our client is seeking an experienced full-time Accounts Payable / Administration Officer to join their close-knit team.
About The Role
The role reports directly to the Finance Manager completing accounts payable work and providing administration support for a fast-paced family owned service industry business. The role is based in Epping and our client is looking for someone to start immediately.
The role predominately entails accounts payable and administration functions but also some accounts receivable and payroll duties when required.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Raising Purchase orders
- Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts & processing invoices on a daily basis
- Matching of invoices to supplier statements at the end of each month
- Processing supplier payments as per payment schedules
- Reconciling supplier ledger with general ledger at the end of each month
- Working closely with management team on supplier invoice approval and queries
- Processing and reconciliation of company credit card expenses and reconciliations
- Maintaining good relationships with suppliers including handling of account enquiries
- Assist with following up outstanding debtors and customer payments
- Assist with debtors reconciliations and sending out customer statements
- Assist with creating service jobs and customer invoicing
- Assist with processing of employee timesheets
- Answering incoming calls
- Filing and general administration duties as required
About You

Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- MYOB AccountRight experience is desired, but not necessary
- Experience with Simpro or similar service project software is desired, but not necessary
- Ability to work effectively in a small team
