About the Role:
Our client, an ASX listed company based in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team. This role involves managing the accounts payable function, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, and supporting the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and process supplier payments in line with agreed terms.
• Perform monthly supplier account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage vendor relationships and handle inquiries.
• Assist with accounts payable reports and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the accounts payable function.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in accounts payable, preferably in an ASX-listed or large corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and payment scheduling.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with accounting software (SAP or similar ERP systems preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and GST is desirable.
• Accounting or finance qualification is a plus.
