About the role
This role is responsible for the full function Accounts Payable for the company, with responsibility for maintaining the day to day administration, quality, reporting and processing functions in order to meet internal & external requirements.
- Create, maintain and review vendors’ accounts in an accurate and timely manner
- Matching, batching and coding invoices
- Processing a high volume of invoices daily
- Processing employee expense reimbursements
- Distribute invoices to appropriate department for approval
- Produce EFT payments in accordance with the policies and procedures
- Ensuring all invoices are paid within their agreed trading terms
- Reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis
- Answering queries regarding invoices
- Filing and Data Entry (high volume)
- Performing other administrative tasks as directed
Skills and experience - Previous experience within Accounts completing full function Accounts Payable duties within Rail or heavy industries
- Experience identifying and resolving invoice issues
- High volume data entry experience
- Accuracy when checking and processing invoices
- Ability to work unsupervised and a team player
- Strong level of customer service and communication skills
- Proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks, flexible, resourceful and proactive
- Work in a professional in manner with a high degree of initiative
- Minimum 2 years experience in a full function Accounts Payable role
- Intermediate computer skills using systems such as Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (Dynamics AX will be highly regarded)
- High numerical and analytical skills
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Strong internal and external customer service and communication skills
- High attention to detail
