We’re looking for a well-presented, personable, and proactive On-Site L2 IT Support Engineer to join our team in Perth, WA. This role is split 50% on-site with a key client and 50% remote support for our wider client base. The Role
In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting, and maintenance across workstations, servers, and networks, both on-site and remotely. You’ll be responsible for:
On-Site Support (50%) – Perth-Based Dental Practice
- Providing Level 2 technical support for Windows environments, including servers, workstations, and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with dental practice management software (D4W, Exact, OASIS, Core Practice, CareStack) and dental imaging software (Romexis, Sidexis, Carestream).
- Managing and maintaining network infrastructure, including firewalls, VLANs, and Wi-Fi.
- Delivering hands-on IT support to ensure seamless clinic operations with minimal disruptions.
- Working closely with practice managers, dentists, and support staff to provide user-friendly IT assistance.
- Representing 32 Byte professionally in a client-facing role, ensuring you are well-presented, approachable, and confident.
Remote Support (50%) – 32 Byte Clients Across Australia
- Providing remote IT support to dental practices, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assisting with IT projects, system upgrades, migrations, and security improvements.
- Supporting Microsoft 365, cloud environments, and business-critical applications.
- Collaborating with our national IT team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in L2 IT Support, preferably within a dental, medical, or healthcare setting.
Strong technical expertise in Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Windows environments, and IT infrastructure.
Experience with dental practice management and imaging software (preferred).
Networking knowledge, including firewalls, VLANs, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
Excellent customer service and communication skills—you’re confident working directly with end users.
Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud platforms (desirable).
A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle—this role requires travel to client sites.
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check as part of the hiring process.
A professional and well-presented appearance—you will be representing 32 Byte in a client-facing role.
