Job Title: Level 3 IT Engineer
Location: Hybrid (On-site & Remote)

HIOD IT is a leading Managed Services Provider (MSP) specialising in IT support, cloud solutions and cybersecurity. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality technical services to businesses across Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for a highly skilled Level 3 IT Engineer to join our team, focusing on on-site support, project work and handling escalated helpdesk tickets.
Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Provide on-site support for Managed Services clients, including deployments, network troubleshooting and other IT-related tasks.
- Manage and implement IT projects, including server migrations, network setups, security implementations, cloud deployments and other IT-related projects.
- Handle Level 3 escalations from the helpdesk, troubleshooting complex issues across various client environments.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring strong customer relationships and clear communication.
- Work with (not limited to) Windows Server, Azure, VMware, Sophos, Microsoft 365, Halo and Datto RMM to support and optimise client environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service delivery and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in a rotating roster for emergency support outside standard business hours.
- Travel to multiple client locations as required (driver’s license essential).
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT support within an MSP environment.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server, Azure, VMware, Microsoft 365 and networking (firewalls, switches, VPNs).
- Experience with Sophos security solutions and Datto RMM for remote monitoring and management.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network-related issues. \
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Full driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites.
Preferred:
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or ITIL.
- Experience using Halo PSA for ticketing and IT service management.
