The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established electrical contracting business, is looking for a highly driven General Manager to take full control of the business and lead it into its next growth phase.

This is a leadership role with full operational responsibility—perfect for someone eager to scale a business, improve efficiency, and drive financial performance. The company currently generates $4M in revenue with $900K in EBITA, with a strong foothold in residential, commercial, and maintenance contracts.

The owners are stepping back and placing the business under management, creating an exceptional opportunity for a highly capable leader to take charge and push revenue beyond $10M+.

The Role

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the entire business operation, strategy, and financial outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Run the business with full ownership—owners are stepping back.
• Lead & manage a growing team of 16—build a high-performance workforce .
• Scale revenue & profitability—expand into larger commercial contracts.
• Drive operational efficiency—streamline project execution & service delivery.
• Develop key industry relationships—win more high-value work.
• Optimise supplier agreements & pricing—enhance margins.
• Leverage marketing & business development—ensure strong lead flow.
• Explore strategic acquisitions—expand service offerings and market reach.
• Identify bottlenecks, solve problems, and drive continuous improvements.
  

This is an autonomous role—the right candidate will take full responsibility for delivering results and implementing a clear growth strategy.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a proven operational leader with General Management or Senior Operations experience in electrical contracting, construction, or a similar trade-based business.
