Tenure: Term Time, Permanent (30 hours per week, 40 weeks per year)
Salary Range: $33.20 - $34.61 per hour pending experience

Ryan Catholic College, Kirwan was established in 1979 and has as its foundational story the well-known "Journey to Emmaus" from the Gospel of Luke. About the role
Ryan Catholic College, Kirwan, is seeking an experienced and dedicated School Officer - Administration. This position will be completing 30 hours per week. The role is term time, permanent and will commence on Monday 10 March 2025.
The role of Administration is responsible for providing high level administrative support demonstrating a high level of self-initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, autonomy and dependability. The Administration will be required to liaise with visitors, parents, staff and students to the College. The incumbent will present a professional image and create a welcoming, warm and positive impression. As the initial point of contact for many key stakeholders, the School Officer - Administration will deliver high quality customer service.
To join this vibrant school community, you'll need
- Previous experience providing generalist administrative support
- Demonstrated capacity to organise and prioritise a range of tasks and set priorities to meet deadlines in a busy office environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver support
- Proven ability in providing accurate and informative assistance to staff, students and parents confidently.
Mandatory Criteria
- Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government
- Minimum certificate level or higher qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
- First Aid certificate or the ability to attain one.
Desirable Criteria
- Recent administration and/or reception experience in a school or other environment.
Some employees may be subject to pre-employment medical assessments during the selection process. Depending on the nature of the position, it may be necessary for successful applicants to be immunised against certain preventable diseases in order to minimise the risk of transmission.
