The Opportunity

We have multiple permanent and fixed term part time School Officer Classroom Support opportunities commencing now or at the beginning of Term 2, from 22 April 2025, at the following colleges:

St Mary’s College | Toowoomba | 5-12 - Metal or Wood Technology School Officer Level 3, permanent part time 11.4 hours per week.

Mary MacKillop Catholic College | Highfields | P-12 - School Officer Level 2 permanent part time, 22 hours per week.

St Joseph’s School | Stanthorpe | P-12 - School Officer Administration (15 hours per week) and Work Health and Safety (7.6 hours per week) Fixed term part time for Term 2 only

In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to assist teachers and other staff members with preparing, implementing, and supervising learning programs to support classroom learning experiences. Rewarding opportunity to work hand in hand with teaching staff to provide a high-quality faith-based education for students.

About You

  • You do not need to be Catholic to teach with us
  • Hold a senior First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain upon commencement
  • Hold a current Queensland Working with Children Clearance (Blue Card) or ability to obtain prior to commencement
  • Experience in, and genuine joy in supporting children's learning in a school environment

You will receive regular support from teachers, visiting Education Officers and Allied Health Professionals; all who will help you to grow your skills and knowledge to be able to professionally support students to achieve their potential. You will also be a part of a network within your own school and beyond; and given the opportunity to attend targeted professional development hosted by the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office.
