Your role at St John of God Health Care
You will be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, minor enhancement and configuration of the Microsoft 365 (M365) tools and services supported by the Platform Applications Support team. This position will also be required to produce professional level standard documentation that supports this system.

The Position

  • Participating in various stages of the software development life cycle to deliver and support applications for use across the SJGHC organization.
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed knowledge of relevant applications and data integrations supported by the team.
  • Attending to Service Desk Requests to ensure all relevant system incidents and requests are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Analysing data, systems, practices, processes to determine the appropriate requirements and solutions, recommending best use of products and enhancements to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Working with the Business Engagement and Design team to assist with the development of requirements for system projects in the pipe-line as a subject matter expert.
  • Working with the Applications Project Delivery and development teams to provide time and resource estimates on system projects.
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical and functional specifications and estimates of effort to design, develop and deliver approved interface and system solutions.
  • Assisting Governance to understand any licensing, resourcing and SLA impacts that may occur.
  • Working with D&T teams to ensure the appropriate governance, implementation and training is provided as required.
  • Working with Digital Security and data owners to ensure appropriate security policies are applied systems and data.
  • Liaising with application vendors to understand installation requirements, upgrades, systems and features available and resolve application system problems, log bugs, review requirements for enhancements and manage version control.
  • Assisting with support of rollouts of relevant systems and upgrades including database scripting and security management.
  • Ensuring appropriate level of version management and change control are adhered to in line with the standards, policies and guidelines in the team.
  • Developing, maintaining and documenting all relevant application systems in accordance with best practice and industry standards.
  • Providing end-user support and guidance on system practice and tools to promote best practice and ensure service levels are met.
  • Assisting in investigating and advising on possible application system software solutions to specific business needs.
  • Maintaining knowledge of current relevant application technology developments and trends within information systems.
  • Providing on-call and out-of-hours support as required to meet service level agreements.
  • Travelling within WA and Interstate, if required.

You will have experience with corporate application processes and systems, application design, development, testing, implementation and support along with, experience in managing or working with organisation-wide IT applications. You will have the ability to analyse complex business processes and identify opportunities for automation.

You will have familiarity with the following;

  • Microsoft 365 applications including, but not limited to SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Planner.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as Cherwell, Ivanti or equivalent platforms.
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL.

To succeed you will possess a relevant tertiary qualification or relevant Certification and have significant work experience.

It is highly regarded if you have healthcare industry experience.
