ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring all medical and rehabilitation equipment is safe, fully operational, and well-maintained. This includes:

• Carrying out minor and major repairs on medical and rehabilitation equipment.
• Maintaining the hire fleet to ensure Rehab Hire can continue to supply top-of-the-range and up-to-date equipment.
• Identifying and tagging out any equipment that poses a hazard for further inspection.
• Finalising and testing all repairs before returning equipment to the fleet.
• Occasionally travelling to client sites to complete on-site servicing or repairs (using your own vehicle).
• Answering phones and assisting with basic administrative or computer-based tasks when required.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm based in Port Melbourne.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Have mechanical knowledge and experience in a hands-on repair role (e.g., maintenance technician, mechanic, tradesperson, or similar).
• Be proficient with tools and able to problem-solve minor repairs.
• Hold a current driver’s licence, as some travel to client sites will be required
• Be comfortable handling and moving equipment, including occasional lifts of up to 20kg, with appropriate manual handling techniques and lifting aids (e.g., trolleys, ramps, or team lifting)
• Have strong attention to detail, be polite and respectful, and work well in a team environment.
• Ideally, have some computer skills to assist with basic tasks.

Requirements (Must Have Before Starting)

• A current Police Check and Working with Children Check
• Minimum two COVID vaccinations plus booster
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Completion of all required NDIS training modules
