We are currently supporting a mining company with the recruitment of a Contracts Advisor for a 12-month contract. In this role, you will support the contract manager by overseeing project procurement and contracting activities. You'll contribute to the successful delivery of major projects, working closely with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Raise purchase and minor works orders.
• Assist with procurement and contracting activities.
• Contribute to the development and execution of Project Procurement and Contracting Plans.
• Support the engagement of communities, local procurement and ensuring adherence.
• Review contractor selection recommendations and providing advice on award decisions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of project contracts, from strategy development to contract completion and project close-out.
• Issuing site instructions.
• Processing progress claims and invoices.
• Preparing reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

What we are looking for

• Solid understanding of commercial risks in construction projects.
• Experience in a contractor, EPCM or owner's team role.
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or experience is preferred
• Focused on fostering a strong team culture and maintaining a proactive attitude.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and build strong relationships.
