About the Role
Lead the collection, verification, processing, and entry of infrastructure asset data into the Shire’s Asset Management Information System, ensuring the data is accurate, complete, consistent, and up to date to facilitate Council’s strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Coordinator Asset Systems the core responsibilities include:
- Ensure asset data records are captured, validated, consistent and accurate across all Shire Asset Management Information Systems, including GIS.
- Lead data cleansing initiatives to improve the accuracy and reliability of asset information across all systems.
- Lead initiatives to enhance and streamline the Shire’s Asset Handover Process, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with best practice
- Manage project gateway approval and notification through the Project Lifecycle Management and group email respectively.
- Coordinate the capitalisation of assets with the Finance team, ensuring accurate allocation of project costs to corresponding assets
- Customer (internal and external) requests and queries are addressed in a timely manner including managing request/queries coming through help desk, team/individual email
- Develop customised reports and dashboards using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) tools, including Excel One, Crystal Reports, and TechOne Business Intelligence (BI), to support decision-making and performance monitoring
About You
- Tertiary qualifications are highly desirable - ideally in a relevant field such as asset management, civil engineering, information technology, spatial systems (GIS), data management, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in asset management is preferred, with experience in public sector infrastructure asset management considered highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyse and interpret and report complex data sets.
- Sound understanding of Asset Management Information Systems such as TechnologyOne, GIS platforms, and spatial databases within MS SQL Server Management Studio.
- Detail focused, creative & innovative, flexible and resilient, learning focussed and driven.
- Ability to design, develop, document, and deliver training programs and materials is desirable, particularly in support of asset management systems and processes
