HarperLloyd Recruitment is partnering with a leading firm to find a 4yr+ PAE lawyer to join their Health team in Brisbane.
This is an opportunity for an experienced health or insurance lawyer to advise some of Australia’s most prominent medical defence organisations, private hospitals, and insurers. You’ll handle a diverse, complex, and rewarding range of matters alongside a national team known for its collegiate culture and technical excellence.
Your Day Will Involve
- Managing a varied portfolio of health law and medico-legal matters, including civil litigation, coronial inquests, and disciplinary proceedings
- Advising clients on regulatory complaints, investigations, and tribunal hearings involving AHPRA and OHO
- Appearing at mediations, inquests, witness interviews, and hearings
- Drafting strategic, accurate, and pragmatic legal advice for major national clients
- Contributing to business development initiatives and mentoring junior lawyers
- Working collaboratively with Partners and peers across a high-performing national team

The team of 5 lawyers is highly collaborative, values knowledge sharing, and provides strong mentorship and visibility across complex, high-stakes matters. You’ll have the chance to work directly with senior practitioners and high-profile clients while continuing to develop your leadership and advocacy skills.
Who Will Fit This Opportunity
We’re seeking a capable and motivated lawyer ready to take the next step in a growing national practice:
- 4+ years PAE in health law, medical indemnity, insurance, or regulatory litigation
- Strong advocacy, drafting, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience managing complex and sensitive matters
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Leadership capability and a collaborative mindset

Salary: $135,000 - $175,000 + bonuses
