Anglicare WA in partnership with Doors Wide Open and Breakaway Aboriginal Corporation, delivers the Housing First Support Services (HFSS), aimed at ending repeat and chronic homelessness for rough sleepers in the Greater Bunbury area.
Working in close collaboration with key stakeholders, the service engages rough sleepers and support people to find and maintain suitable accommodation and link them into appropriate support services including employment, health, mental health, financial management and social support to meet their individual needs.

As the Case Manager, HFSS you will provide tailored case management support to meet the needs and goals of rough sleepers. In this role, you will:

  • Undertake holistic assessments of client needs, develop case plans and provide practical supports.
  • Provide quality case management that is person centred, strengths based, trauma informed and culturally safe.
  • Increase clients’ knowledge and skills in budgeting and tenancy maintenance.
  • Work in consultation with all clients to provide a range of information and support options to enable them to make choices to enhance their safety and wellbeing
  • Advocate for and on behalf of clients as well as provide referral services as needed.
  • Encourage clients to engage in the local community and build social networks

This is a full time (1.0 FTE) max term contract opportunity ending in June 2027.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary degree (4 years) in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Counselling or demonstrated relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with marginalised and disadvantaged groups
  • Demonstrated case management skills and ability to assess, inform, advise, support and refer clients
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated understanding of the issues affecting people experiencing rough sleeping
  • Demonstrated skills in following safety procedures and dynamic risk assessments
  • Ability to work from a strength-based approach and be empathic to the client group

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Card and a WA Drivers Licence.

  • A competitive salary from $86,950.50 per annum + 12% superannuation
  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
  • Additional 3 days leave per year over festive period
