About the firm

My client is a boutique accounting firm in Brisbane. They’ve grown rapidly over the past 5 years and are looking to double again in the next 5. They’re well known within their niche, have an outstanding reputation for quality work and are now looking to expand their onshore team.

The firm has 80 staff including a large offshore team. They use modern systems including Xero Practice Manager and Karbon and have an excellent team culture.

About the role

Due to strong growth in one of their business services teams, one of the Directors is seeking additional support to service his $2.7m client base. He already has an Associate Director in Brisbane, a full-time administrator and 10+ senior staff in the Philippines. He now needs an Australian-based Senior Accountant who can prepare and review compliance work and liaise with clients when required.

Experience required

Minimum 5 years experience in an accounting firm (more experienced accountants are encouraged to apply)

Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for companies and partnerships

CA or CPA qualification essential

Ideally knowledge of QBCC reporting

Xero and Karbon experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work productively and autonomously

Ideally experience working with an offshore accounting team

What is on offer

Excellent flexibility. You can either work 100% from home OR hybrid 3/2 or 2/3

$110,000 - $130,000 for experienced Senior Accountants
