Our client, a respected name in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Leading Hand to join their high-performing production team in Silverwater. In this role, you’ll take the lead on the factory floor—supporting your team, maintaining high production standards, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely. You’ll be part of a collaborative leadership team that will provide the training and support you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and support a team of production workers on the afternoon shift

Organise daily tasks, including onboarding and training new team members

Ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently

Manage changeovers, line setups, and production transitions

Maintain product quality and ensure compliance with food safety and HACCP standards

Oversee health and safety practices, reporting and addressing any hazards

Complete production and performance reporting using Microsoft systems

Promote and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Handle both raw and cooked pork and beef products

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in food manufacturing or processing

Previous supervisory or team leading experience (or ready to step into one!)

Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety requirements

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Machine operation experience

Confident computer skills (Word & Excel)

Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented

Available to work afternoon shifts (2:00 PM starts, Monday–Friday)
