Operating from a two-room facility in Alexandra, we offer quality education to Pre-Kinder and Pre-Prep children. Alexandra & District Kindergarten's program is based on "learning through play", and includes weekly Bush Kinder sessions for our Pre-Prep group.

About the role

We are seeking a positive, motivated and engaging Kindergarten Director to provide leadership and management of the service. You will be working within a collaborative and professional group of 12 staff, including a Nominated Supervisor, teachers, educators, and administration officers. You will provide strategic advice to an engaged Committee of Management, and oversee the operation of the kindergarten on their behalf.

This newly created position is offering 10 hours per week, focusing primarily on HR and regulatory compliance. Specific work days are negotiable, however would be required onsite a minimum of 2 days per week and contactable during business hours, to be present and accessible to our staff and families.

The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 3-5 years of kindergarten leadership experience, demonstrate a positive and approachable nature, and have a thorough understanding of early years legislation.

Qualifications

Must hold a minimum qualification of a Diploma of Early Childhood Education or equivalent, as recognized by ACECQA.

Must have current WWCC / VIT and Child Protection Training.

Hold or be willing to obtain a current ACECQA compliant First Aid Certificate, including Resuscitation, Asthma Management, and Anaphylaxis.

Children's Services Award (2010) Level 6.4 Director.
