Heritage Preschool is an Exceeding rated sessional 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten service run by a volunteer parent committee. We are seeking a Bachelor Qualified Early Childhood Teacher for a 12 month contract position
At Heritage Preschool we endeavour to provide our children with a high-quality, inclusive and enjoyable start to their education. Our children come from culturally diverse and varying socio-economic backgrounds, and it is our responsibility to give each child the best opportunities for their learning and development. Our kindergarten embraces nature play as part of our program which is an integral part of our curriculum.
We are seeking a Bachelor Qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Heritage Preschool for the 3/4-year-old kinder program. You will be responsible for leading the programming of children's learning and development for a range of abilities. You will work with a team of dedicated staff to create a stimulating, positive, and inclusive environment. Your practice will reflect the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and uphold the National Quality Standard (NQS).

Enjoy the benefits of working in sessional kindergarten with paid school term breaks throughout the year, and annual leave over the Christmas / summer holidays.
12 month contract position 21.50 hours per week (3 days per week, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 14 contact hours, 7.5 non-contact hours)
The Early Childhood Teacher will:
Develop a high-quality educational program for the 3/4-year-old kinder program in consultation with families, children, and Educators.
Work in partnership with the teaching team
Have excellent knowledge of the NQF and be competent in implementing the VEYLDF
Be confident and articulate in early childhood pedagogy and practice
Have excellent communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude
Be committed to nurturing relationships with children and families
Demonstrate understanding of cultural competence and embody this in your teaching practice and interpersonal relationships
Work in accordance with the standards outlined in the Early Childhood Australia (ECA) Code of Ethics, the Victorian Institute (VIT) Code of conduct and Code of Conduct and Child Safety Code of Conduct.
Essential
Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent
Current VIT registration
Current first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma training
Experience working with children with a wide range of diverse additional needs and cultural backgrounds.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work within a team environment
