About the Role
Are you a strategic thinker and project leader passionate about driving positive change? Ready to take charge of complex business improvement initiatives that make a real difference? Join our team as Senior Project Officer – Business Improvement and lead the way in transforming how we deliver essential services in biosecurity and food safety. You will need a strong focus on finance and business management- procurement negotiations, costing and pricing services
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement partnership strategies and plans focused on establishing, developing innovative solutions and maintaining partnerships with organisations and stakeholders across industry
- Build effective working relationships and formulate and deploy strategies that balance the longer-term strategic and more immediate and operational functions of the unit
- Managing dynamic project teams while ensuring compliance with governance and quality standards
- Mentoring your team and staff and contributing to broader branch outcomes
- Delivering high-quality documentation that supports decision-making and ensures accountability
- Identifying and mitigating risks in contracts and service delivery
- Providing timely advice on industry trends and emerging opportunities
- Offering expert guidance on contract conditions and administration
About You
You’re a confident leader with a track record in successful identification of savings and efficiency improvements to Facilities, and Goods and Services categories using a range of quantitative and qualitative data sources to deliver value for money procurement outcome. You thrive in complex environments, are highly organised, and know how to engage stakeholders to turn strategy into action.
Key knowledge and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in business management or similar.
- Proven experience in delivering complex or larger scale projects.
- Experience in achieving business improvement outcomes.
- Current NSW driver licence and the ability and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work from Menangle office location
