About the role

As a Credit Analyst at Neo Finance Group, you will play a crucial role in the company's mortgage lending operations. This full-time position is based in our Newcastle, NSW office, where you will be responsible for assessing credit applications and ensuring the financial viability of prospective borrowers.

What you'll be doing

Reviewing credit applications and supporting documentation to evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants

Conducting in-depth analysis of financial statements, income sources, and debt obligations

Preparing detailed credit risk assessments and recommendations for the loan approval process

Collaborating with the underwriting team to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the credit assessment process

Identifying potential areas of risk and proposing mitigating strategies

Providing exceptional customer service to applicants throughout the credit evaluation process

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field

Minimum 1.5 years' experience as a credit analyst or in a similar financial analysis role

Strong understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies and mortgage lending practices

Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data

Proficiency in using financial software and data analysis tools

Exceptional attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach to work

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to stakeholders
