RESPONSIBILITIES
Loan Structuring:
· Assess lender policies to identify the best loan options for clients.
· Ensure all applications comply with lender requirements and serviceability standards.
· Partner with Relationship Managers to explain loan structures to clients, and engage directly when needed to deliver exceptional service.
Loan Processing and Analysis:
· Utilise lender calculators to evaluate borrowing capacity and loan feasibility.
· Conduct thorough analyses, including PAYG income assessments and funds-to-complete evaluations.
· Prepare and submit accurate lender comparisons, valuations, and pricing requests.
· Review submission notes and finalise handover checklists in Process Street (PS).
Client and Lender Communication:
· Collaborate with lenders to resolve issues, clarify policies, and ensure loan applications align with client goals.
· Provide timely responses to client enquiries regarding the loan process and structuring options.
Compliance and Accuracy:
· Verify all applications meet lender policies and internal checklists.
· Maintain high accuracy, ensuring compliance and serviceability standards for at least 90% of submitted applications.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
· Analyse client and broker information to determine the most appropriate loan solutions.
· Confirm loan feasibility and structure suitability using lender calculators and internal tools.
· Communicate with lenders via phone or email to clarify policies and confirm loan structures.
· Resolve client and lender queries promptly throughout the application process.
· Prepare detailed submission notes to support lodgement and final approval.
SECONDARY ACTIVITIES
· Arrange valuations and pricing requests when required.
· Prepare product comparisons as needed.
· Provide process improvement suggestions to enhance efficiency.
· Undertake ad hoc projects or tasks assigned by directors.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
· Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking or higher is highly regarded.
Experience:
· Minimum of 2 years in the lending industry.
· Experience structuring loans and assessing complex scenarios.
Skills:
· Strong understanding of lender policies and loan structuring principles.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and internal systems (e.g., FLEX, Process Street).
· Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
· High attention to detail and consistent ability to meet deadlines.
PERFORMANCE GOALS & KPIs
· Achieve 100% accuracy in loan structuring, policy compliance, and serviceability requirements for at least 90% of applications submitted.
· Attend a minimum of two lender webinars per month to stay up-to-date on products and policies.
· Respond to client calls within 2 business hours and emails within 4 business hours.
· Provide client updates within agreed timeframes.
