About the role

AAG Mechanical Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic / Fitter to join our team in Dubbo, NSW. To be a full-time site based fitter at a local quarry where you'll be looking after a fleet of mobile crushers and small mining equipment for one of our customers.

What you'll be doing

Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel engines and related components

Test and troubleshoot diesel systems and parts to identify and resolve problems

Re fueling and greasing

5. Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used

6. Ensure workshop tools and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order

7. Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Diesel Mechanics or a related automotive trade

3+ years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic or a related trade

Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, electrical, and hydraulic components

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Good time management and organisational skills
