About the Role:
As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our customer equipment, ensuring maximum uptime for their operations. Your expertise will help us build long term partnerships and uphold our commitment to exceptional service.
Your Responsibilities:
Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment.
Document machine information and repairs on work orders, including parts, time, and fluids used.
Maintain a clean work area and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities.
Understand and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Manage time effectively and stay organized.
Process paperwork accurately, including technical, service, and warranty reports.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Your Skills and Attributes:
Relevant Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent).
Dual trade or experience in air-conditioning and/or auto electrical work is highly regarded.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience in servicing and maintaining heavy diesel products, including engine overhauls and major repairs is highly regarded.
Knowledge of Kenworth and DAF equipment is a plus.
Strong customer service focus and engaging work approach.
Solid electrical and IT skills.
Mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to work.
Possession of relevant tickets and licenses (e.g., High Risk Work Licence-Forklift Licence) is highly regarded.
