About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced product photographer who specialises in high-quality furniture and interiors to join our team as a consultant.

This is a unique role suited to someone who not only produces exceptional imagery but can also help our in-house team improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our photography.

You’ll work with us on a day-rate, as-needed basis, providing hands-on guidance to refine lighting setups, angles, and styling, while helping us develop a repeatable system that keeps our visuals consistently premium.

The goal is to make our in-house photography process seamless — so that every image we capture reflects the brand’s craftsmanship and attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

Review and refine our current product and lifestyle photography workflow.

Advise on lighting, composition, and equipment setups specific to furniture photography.

Create a style and angle guide to ensure consistency across all imagery.

Train our in-house content team on camera use, lighting control, and editing techniques.

Recommend updates to gear, lenses, backdrops, and software to improve quality.

Occasionally assist in setting up or directing full location shoots to add variety and depth to our visual library (not the primary focus of the role).

Help document best practices into a simple “Photography Playbook” our team can follow.

About You

Proven experience in furniture, interiors, or premium product photography.

Strong technical understanding of lighting, colour accuracy, and composition.

Comfortable working with both studio and natural light environments.

A clear communicator who can teach and mentor others.

Detail-oriented with a strong eye for brand consistency and aesthetics.

Based in or able to travel to Brighton, Melbourne, for in-person consulting sessions.
