About the Opportunity

Join SA Health as a Part-time Cancer Care Coordinator at Port Lincoln Hospital, where you will make a meaningful difference in cancer patient care across the Eyre and Western region. This ongoing position offers the opportunity to lead clinical excellence whilst supporting the Director of Nursing/Midwifery in delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate comprehensive cancer care services using evidence-based guidelines and standards
  • Provide management support for Chemotherapy Unit operations and services
  • Support nursing practice through staffing methodologies, recruitment, and human resource management
  • Manage projects and research initiatives to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Oversee financial administration, patient flow, and resource management
  • Contribute to accreditation processes, risk management, and information systems management

You will accept accountability for nursing management practices, address inconsistencies between practice and policy, and foster a safe, positive work culture that prioritises patient outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current practicing certificate through Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Current Antineoplastic Drug Administration certification preferred
  • Clinical knowledge and experience in cancer care coordination
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities
