A well-known Queensland Government department is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join their team!

Your new role

As a Finance Officer, you will:

• Administer end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes
• Maintain vendor master data and support domestic/international payments
• Manage financial data across multiple systems using advanced Excel functions
• Assist with global end-of-month and year-end financial processes
• Reconcile corporate card and cashbook transactions across international offices
• Support corporate card program and travel booking system administration
• Prepare financial reports and maintain compliance registers
• Contribute to policy development and provide training to internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with domestic and international teams to support business improvements

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Proficiency in financial systems TechOne, ExpenseME, AAP Converga, or similar would be highly regarded.
• Advanced Excel function skills.
• Experience in end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage financial data across multiple systems
• A qualification (or progress toward one) in accounting, business, commerce, or a related field is highly desirable.
  
• Previous experience within the Queensland Government is highly regarded.

• This department offers 2 days WFH after the training period.
• Full-time hours: 36.25hrs per week.
• Flexible start and finish times once settled

• The salary is AO4 $86908 - $95298 + super p.a (prorated).
