Tasmanian Berries is a family owned, innovative and ever-expanding berry business in Central Northern Tasmania. The Business operates over three farm sites, comprising over 70 hectares of hydroponically grown strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries, producing premium quality fresh berries for the Australian domestic market.

We’re looking for a Agricultural Drone Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone excited by agricultural technology. The ideal person will primarily be crop spraying with other ad hoc jobs as required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operate T40 Drone for the aerial spraying of crops according to established protocols and safety guidelines.

Plan and execute flight missions based on crop type and weather.

Collaborate with managers and agronomists to develop spraying schedules .

Conduct pre application inspections and routine maintenance on the T40 Drone to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulations.

Keep detailed records of applications using purpose built applications.

Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices for drone operations, including airspace restrictions and environmental considerations.

Essential Criteria: (Training can be be provided):

RePL License (Remote Pilot License)

Full drivers licence

Chemical Cert

Drone operation experiences in any capacity

Desirable Criteria:

Although an interest or background in agriculture or horticulture would be desirable it's not a requirement to be successful in the role.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform the essential job responsibilities safely and successfully

Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

Lifting, pushing, and pulling as required to carry out maintenance
