We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Officer to join our team!

What You Will Do:

As a Contracts Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a centre-led procurement, tendering and contracts service that is effective, efficient and transparent, ensuring compliance with all legislative and Council policy requirements. You will contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Council’s procurement and contractual frameworks, embedding industry best practice and supporting value for money, business continuity, and local engagement.

This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys balancing analytical precision with strategic thinking, while fostering strong relationships across internal teams, suppliers, and community partners.

What We Are Looking For:

Relevant experience and qualifications in procurement, contract management and administration, business administration, project management, or several years of significant workplace experience in a procurement, contracts or tendering role.

Outstanding written and peer review skills with excellent attention to detail and previous experience in drafting of contract and tender documents, including report writing.

Demonstrated skills and experience in planning, coordinating and managing own time to meet high workloads and tight deadlines.

High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with all levels of staff and generate productive and sustainable relationships across a large multi-disciplined organisation.

High level communication, verbal and presentation skills (including public speaking) and experience in chairing meetings, forums and workshops.
