Where you'll be working

ESMHS, located on the Prince of Wales Hospital campus, Randwick.

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant within ESMHS you will be responsible for working with the Leadership and education team in order to provide innovative, compassionate and recovery focused care. You will have the opportunity to work with a in a role that is autonomous with support from the leadership team.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Current Registration with AHPRA as registered Nurse who has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field. In addition, the employee must have approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
  2. Appropriate post graduate qualifications working towards same or commitment to commence approved post graduate qualification within 12 months.
  3. Proven Clinical leadership skills in mental health nursing, with demonstrated ability to deliver and evaluate quality patient care.
  4. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development for self and others.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
  7. Commitment to consumer consultation and participation in service planning and delivery, policy development and implementation, priority setting and service evaluation and quality activities.
