About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our vibrant team at High Tide restaurant in Mudjimba, Queensland. As our Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and overseeing the creation of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. What you'll be doing

Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring efficient and effective meal preparation and service

Develop and implement new seasonal menus that showcase the freshest local produce and showcase your culinary expertise

Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency

Oversee food cost controls, inventory management and waste reduction

Foster a positive and collaborative team culture in the kitchen

Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

Significant experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant or similar hospitality environment

Formal culinary training or qualifications

Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes

Strong leadership and team management abilities

Excellent time management, problem-solving and multitasking skills

Commitment to maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards
