About the role

Moranbah Golf Club Incorporated is seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team in Moranbah, Queensland. This is a full-time position, and you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests.

What you'll be doing

Develop and execute creative, high-quality menus that showcase your culinary expertise and cater to the diverse preferences of our patrons

Manage and lead a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service

Oversee the procurement of quality ingredients, monitor inventory, and implement cost-effective measures to optimise operational efficiency

Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies that enhance the club's dining experience and reputation

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Foster a positive and motivating work environment, providing guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team

What we're looking for

Extensive experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role, preferably with 5 years plus experience.

A minimum of 5-7 years of Head Chef or senior culinary experience is required for this position.

Proven track record of creating innovative, high-quality menus and delivering exceptional dining experiences

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate a team

Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and cost control measures

Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service

Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

A recognised trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent culinary certification is essential for this role.
