One of Melbourne's flagship Ford dealerships is looking to appoint a Vehicle Sales Cadet.

We are looking for our next Mitch. (Spoiler alert - Mitch is a real person)

A little while ago a dealer in our group was looking for a new Sales Cadet to join our high performing New Car Sales Team.

During the interview process we had the pleasure of meeting 20 year old Mitch who at the time was teaching kids to swim at a local pool.

Mitch was bright, warm, professional and told us he had a unrelenting drive to succeed in the role (you never really know until someone starts the job though do you? Spoiler alert # 2 - Mitch really walks the talk)

After Mitch met the leadership team we decided he was the right fit for us and we selected him from the excellent field of candidates we were grateful to have had applied.

Mitch brought with him the ability to learn quickly, follow process, work hard, be glass half full, be resilient, saw things in a “how can we” not a “why can't we” way and, most importantly, was/is genuinely engaged in doing the work it takes to become a professional in his field whilst being warm and kind to his customers and his teammates.

We assisted Mitch by making available to him a highly experienced management team in a supportive, positive & committed environment. He received an industry leading remuneration package, comprehensive induction and training, a genuine 5 day week and all of the resources required to perform his role.

After 6 months (he actually got it a little bit earlier in the end because he was going so well) he received a fully maintained company vehicle with fuel.

Last financial year Mitch earned in the top 10% of income earners in Australia (according the ABS graph published in The Australian Financial Review in Jan 2025) and recently bought his first house (I doubt it'll be his last) with his lovely fiance.
