Your impact
As a HRBP, you will play a critical role in supporting a safe, capable, and values driven workforce, aligned to achieve our mission of delivering individualised residential care to Young People. You will partner with operational leaders around Australia to provide strategic guidance and hands-on support in all areas of people practice, ensuring young people are supported by exceptional teams who feel safe, empowered and able to perform at their best.
This role is both purposeful and practical, ideal for a confident HR professional who thrives on meaningful work, complex people matters and contributing to life-changing outcomes for children and young people.

About the Role
This role offers a balance of strategic input and hands-on operational HR support, including:
• Providing expert HR advice across the employee lifecycle
• HR/ER/IR advice and coaching to our leaders
• Providing advice compliant with relevant legislation and support to leaders with employee relations issues such as performance management, dispute resolution, employee promotions and role changes, misconduct issues and termination of employment, and prepare any relevant documentation
• Assist new leaders in developing and managing the power imbalance and professional boundaries with direct reports
• Provide advice around the management of performance review cycles and regular talent assessment and succession planning activities as required
• Providing advice in the relevant standards, EAs, regulatory requirements, code of practices, and guidelines.
• Leading and advising on complex employee relations matters and investigations
• Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, Awards, enterprise agreements and child-safe standards
• Supporting continuous improvement and HR project delivery
• Contributing to leadership development and workforce capability initiatives
You will play a key role in shaping people practices that support our staff, uphold our values, and enhance safety and stability for the young people we serve. You will model ethical and professional behaviour, helping maintain a culture where child safety, staff safety and professional accountability are paramount.
About You
You are a confident HR generalist with strong ER/IR capability and a collaborative coaching style. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset, motivated by purposeful and impactful work. You have relevant experience and confidence in all areas of HR with strong skills in ER/IR and supporting frontline leaders.
You will bring:
• Minimum 5 years’ HR experience, including ER/IR and case management
• Experience working in award-covered and/or unionised environments
• Strength in advising and coaching frontline and operational leaders
• Excellent communication, judgement and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to balance complex demands, priorities and sensitive matters
• Commitment to trauma-informed, ethically sound and child-safe practice
• Community services, disability, or residential care sectors (highly valued, not necessary).
