About the Role

SYD Engineers is seeking an experienced Senior or Associate Structural Engineer to join our growing team in the Sydney CBD. You’ll be working across a diverse range of projects, including residential homes, Class 2/3 buildings and industrial/commercial buildings

This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of projects, mentor junior engineers, and be part of a firm that is expanding steadily and strategically.
For the right person, there is a possible pathway toward a future management role and, potentially, partnership.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis across residential, commercial, industrial and remedial sectors
• Oversee and collaborate with junior engineers and draftspersons
• Prepare detailed design documentation and certification
• Coordinate with architects, builders and project stakeholders
• Provide construction-phase support and resolve site queries

What You’ll Need

• Chartered or working toward Chartered status (or equivalent experience)
• ~10+ years' structural design experience within an Australian consultancy
• Experience in remedial engineering is advantageous
• Strong communication, leadership and project coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction when required
